Well! Our daughter made her way into the world on May 4th, which threw off several plans and also made me and my husband a very happy albeit tired pair.

We have slowly been getting used to this new routine but I can definitely say that cooking has not been a forefront on our mind. We have been living off of food wonderful friends and family have brought for us and plenty of take-out.
As she is now nearly 3 weeks old, I am moving from ‘survival mode’ to ‘okay, i think i can do this other thing while she’s sleeping instead of watching her every move/checking to make sure she’s still breathing’. This means that I am finally looking at cooking again! The weather has also been absolutely gorgeous outside, perfect for taking walks outside — that also means lots of produce will be in season soon and I cannot wait for all of the fresh vegetables!
We have tomatoes and strawberries planted in the garden with beans and peppers soon to be in the soil as well. Looking forward to sharing some summery recipes here soon!
